Celebrate Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg September 28 through November 4, 2012. The festive even features Bavarian-style food, drink and music.
The Bavarian Fun Makers Band, in authentic costumes, will perform traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplattling, oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels and more with shows at noon, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as 1pm and 5pm Monday through Thursday.

Special Oktoberfest biers will be served, along with traditional German wurst, schnitzel, sauerkraut, strudel, pretzels and more.

Oktoberfest is a 202 year tradition that originally started in Bavaria on October 17, 1810 with the public celebration of the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig I and Princess Therese in Munich, Germany.

Once the winter season sets in, Ober Gatlinburg will offer skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing.
