October 2012 Events in Gatlinburg
Enjoy fall in the Smokies during the Smoky Mountain Harvest
Festival. The towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Townsend all
participate in autumn displays and harvest-themed activities throughout the
month.
October 1-31: Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg
All month long celebrate Oktoberfest
at Ober Gatlinburg with Bavarian-style food, beer, and music. See
traditional Bavarian folk dances and participate in sing-a-longs with the
Bavarian Fun Makers Band.
October 5, 12,
19: Biltmore Concert Series
Catch the last concerts of the 16th annual Biltmore
Concert Series at Diana at Biltmore. Concerts begin at 8pm and require an
extra ticket. See David Cassidy on October 5; Mary Wilson of the Supremes on
October 12; and Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers on October 19.
October 5-31: Fright Nights at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October guests to
Ripley’s Haunted Adventure get access to special Fright
Night events starting at 6:13pm. Fright Night shows are included with
general admission tickets.
October 11-28: Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair
See craftsmen and artisans from all over the country during
the 37th anniversary of the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair.
Stroll through hundreds of booths and see unique, handmade products. The fair
is open 10am-6pm daily and 10am-5pm on Sundays. Adults are $6, children under
12 are free. Event takes place at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
