Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights Shines during Winter Magic
On a Gatlinburg vacation there is no better way to see the
dazzling Winter Magic light displays than aboard the Trolley Ride of Lights.From November 7, 2012 to January 26, 2013 visitors can take in the spirit of the season from a seat on the Gatlinburg Trolley. These guided excursions are a great way to experience Gatlinburg Winter Magic. The trolley tours leave from the city’s trolley center, located at traffic light #5, and go on a ride through downtown and adjacent Hwy. 321, showcasing all of the beautiful light displays that put everyone in a jolly mood.
Displays featuring animals indigenous to Great Smoky
Mountains National Park including deer, foxes, squirrels and rabbits are part
of the program. Many of the displays visitors have grown accustomed to over the
past 23 years have been converted to crisp LED as well. Most recently, fanciful
snowmen, dancing fountains, a group of international children and a shiny
rocking horse have joined the lineup.
Trolley Ride of Lights Tours leave nightly at 6:30, 7:30 and
8:30 through December 30 (tours are not available on December 7). During
January, the tours are available on Saturdays only in Gatlinburg.
Trolley tours are $5.
