Gatlinburg Winter Magic Highlights the Holidays in the Smoky Mountains

The Smoky Mountains are a beautiful sight during the holidays and Gatlinburg celebrates with Gatlinburg Winter Magic.  The seasonal event is held from November 7, 2012 through February 28, 2013.

Gatlinburg Winter Magic features a variety of events and special activities. The festival officially begins with the Winter Magic Kickoff and Chili Cook-Off on November 7. Delicious chili and the lighting of the Winter Magic displays highlight the event. The LED light displays combine the atmosphere of Gatlinburg as many of the displays feature animals indigenous to the area, including deer, foxes, squirrels and rabbits. Of course, snowmen, reindeer, dancing fountains and other seasonal light displays round out the winter lights programs.
The $1.6 million light displays also feature sections that highlight winter forests, evergreens and the romance of the holiday season. The bright, colorful lights are a festive way to celebrate the holidays in Gatlinburg.
Reserve a place to stay in Gatlinburg to join the Winter Magic festivities.
