Salute Our Nation's Veterans during Gatlinburg's Veterans Day Celebration
Join Gatlinburg, Tennessee is saluting our nation’s veterans
during a Veteran’s Day Celebration on November 11, 2012. The free admission event will be held on the
Plaza at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies from 11am – 2pm.
The event pays tribute to the service men and women who put
service before self. As an official
Regional Site for the Observance of Veterans Day, the Gatlinburg Veterans Day
Celebration is affiliated with the events scheduled at the National Veterans
Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetery. Gatlinburg is one of only 57
cities nationwide to receive this designation. Gatlinburg is one of only two
Tennessee towns to be chosen for this honor.
Activities during the Veteran’s Day Celebration include recognition of veterans, patriotic music, a military flyover and an American Bald Eagle presentation, among several others.
